As K-Pop has expanded its international reach, K-Pop fans can be found in every corner of the world. BLACKPINK (Black Pink) is a perfect example of a group that has popularity on every continent. This is evidenced by their successful world concert tour "In Your Area" which shows how popular they are around the world.
Recently, media outlet Koreaboo released a list of the top 10 countries that BLACKPINK streams the most. In the list, BLACKPINK proved its popularity in various countries, from the United States, Brazil, Turkey and even Indonesia.
Even more surprising, Indonesia managed to occupy the first position as the country with the most BLACKPINK streaming on YouTube. Reporting from Koreaboo, it was noted that Indonesia was streaming with 48.6 million views per month.
Second place is Lisa's hometown, Thailand. Thailand recorded 40.5 million views of BLACKPINK's video streaming every month while the Philippines, which streamed 33.6 million views every month, managed to occupy the third position. Vietnam and Brazil managed to occupy 4th and 5th positions with 28 million and 22.6 million views, respectively, per month.
Not only in the Asian region, BLACKPINK's success has also penetrated the US market. BLACKPINK quickly became one of the biggest stars in the United States, after appearing at Coachella. No wonder America has managed to occupy the 6th position of the most BLACKPINK streaming countries with a total of 18.8 million views every month.
The seventh position is won by Malaysia, which every month streams BLACKPINK as much as 14.6 million views. Below that is Mexico where fans stream BLACKPINK videos as much as 13.7 million times on YouTube every month. Finally, there are Turkey and Japan, which occupy the 9th and 10th positions respectively because they have streamed 10.7 million and 9.39 million times on YouTube every month.
BLACKPINK itself is still continuing their world concert tour in Tokyo, Japan in December. After that, BLACKPINK will continue their concert at Kyocera Dome, Osaka for 2 consecutive days on January 4 and 5, 2020. Finally, Rose cs will close the concert in Fukuoka on February 22, 2020.
