“911” is the eighth track off of Lady Gaga’s sixth album, Chromatica. Lyrically, Gaga explores the role of antipsychotic medication and the effect it has had on her life.

The song’s hook was first teased in an interview with Paper Magazine.

Lady Gaga told in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, "I wrote a song on 'Chromatica' called '911', and it's about an antipsychotic that I take, and it's because I can't always control things that my brain does, I know that. And I have to take medication to stop the process that occurs."
